In order to be able to test old profiles/builds against new gecko for upgrades, we need to be able to set the location of core app directories. As of bug 1001757, we have a pref that lets us do this. However, using the pref in older builds would require hand-editing the prefs in the profile. It'd be nice to have a command line argument for b2g desktop that allows temporary override of basePath for certified apps, so we wouldn't have to change the prefs.
