User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0 Build ID: 20150314030239 Steps to reproduce: Watch a video on Youtube (with Flash disabled) using Nightly 39.0a1 (Build ID 20150314030239) on a 64 bit Linux OS. Actual results: Nightly instantly crashes. I can observe that, on a profile with NoScript, the crash does not happen until I allow ytimg.com. It also crashes in safe mode, either with e10s disabled or enabled. Tested on a clean profile as well, the crash is repeatable. ID: f16fe5e5-02d7-4ebd-969e-e28152150315 Signature: libc-2.11.1.so@0x12b346 Running Firefox from a terminal, I can see GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_plugin_feature_get_name: assertion `GST_IS_PLUGIN_FEATURE (feature)' failed at the time of the crash.

More importantly, stable Firefox 37.0 also crashes on www.paypal.com. I have a crash report (with clean profile): bp-6249f2c0-70c2-4a70-9bbc-e68982150401 And I think this bug is related to (if not the same as) bug 1145230.
Confirmed, Firefox 37.0.1 stable is now crashing on both Youtube and Vimeo in the exact same way that I originally reported for Nightly: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-54ce5fac-26b1-4a15-9e94-b88692150405
