Position of "OK" and "CANCEL" buttons should be as consistent as possible for all dialogues (lower right) It makes navigating dialogues much easier when you kind of know where the main UI elements are (i.e., the OK and CANCEL buttons). I suggest to at least *attempt* to place them in the same location in each dialogue window. +- Some Dialogue ------------------+ | | | < > a bunch of options here | | | | bla bla bla | | | | | | [OK] [CANCEL] | <-- *always* in bottom right !!! +----------------------------------+ Candidates for correction are: - BM manager - New Folder - Change master password (in prefs) - etc. Exceptions could be very small one-liner dialogues, which look better with centered OK and CANCEL buttons (agreed?).

So all dialogs should use the platform dialog overlay which correctly places those buttons (lower right is not correct placement on all platforms).

At Win32, the dialog "Tools|Password manager|Change Master Password..." has very strange button position -- all on the left side!
Yes. I doubt this bug is useful, since it's not about particular dialogs, but that's for XP Apps to decide.

some of our dialogs have <ok> <cancel> <help> (psm) this means that consistency becomes a serious problem...

I don't understand. Is there no value in having a consistent appearance for Mozilla? Must a bug be limited to only sub-modules of mozilla? It seems we are placing exclusive emphasis on the "trees" and forgetting about te "Forest". Would it help if I named some dialogue examples to get the ball rolling?
No, it would help if you filed specific examples about the problematic locations.
