Hi reporter,
unfortunately this report is not very useful because it does not describe the problem well. If you have time and can still reproduce the problem, please read and add a more useful description to this report.

David, rest assured that TB can only suggest contacts which actually ARE in one of your address books.
So you should open your TB address book (Tools > AB) and search in every book separately (searching all books will be possible with TB38) for the offending entry.

Any other stubbornness beyond that is a bug in autocomplete which is on record, e.g. bug 1138033.
In fact, technically you might be seeing bug 1138033 which sometimes prevents correcting addresses as desired if autocomplete believes to know better.
Without further details from reporter, nothing we can do here.
Reporter (theweel...) pls reply.
Summary: Auto Incorrect email addresses → Autocomplete suggests "ghost" address (list of semicolon-separated addresses)
