User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0
Build ID: 20150319030202

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open this GIF file in a new tab: http://data.whicdn.com/images/17228852/tumblr_ltv68a8IZj1r19funo1_500_large.gif
2) GIF isn't shown and a download panel opens.

Actual results:

GIF didn't show up in the tab, and instead, downloading options were offered.

Expected results:

GIF should have shown up in the tab, and no download panel should have opened.
These are the http headers for that URL:

>Status: HTTP/1.1 200 OK
>Accept-Ranges: bytes
>Content-Type: application/octet-stream
>Date: Fri, 20 Mar 2015 08:49:11 GMT
>Etag: "8fec4df088bd5034b30d75acf17a1918"
>Last-Modified: Fri, 09 Dec 2011 21:28:29 GMT
>Server: ECS (dca/2495)
>x-amz-id-2: wWkl8M4fGEmgR09swShf2CwvdZ7oADqq/5QSmIDjStvawQWRLXTM4+kxUrLNHONS
>x-amz-request-id: EED96033E34AA0FD
>X-Cache: HIT
>Content-Length: 882316
>Connection: close

Content-Type: application/octet-stream is the culprit. Firefox can not render application/octet-stream and it would work if the server would send the file with the correct mime-type "image/gif"
