In addition to bug 1080588 we need to update the background images on the snapshot server.

I believe we wanted this changed for all locales.

Ok.  I've got a PR for this ready but would like to land our new regions first so they'd get the updated images as well.  Working with QA to sort that...

While I'm here, the closest image size in the .zip file is 480x854 but the images they are replacing are 480x860.  Is that a problem?

I don't actually know about what sizing we should use. I believe that gaia will work regardless of the size, but I'm going to double check with Peter as he created these assets I think.

This issue is verified fixed on Flame 2.5 and Flame 2.2. Smart collection icons and smart collection page backgrounds match with the assets attached at comment 0. I've also verified that bug 1147540 didn't occur.
