User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 Build ID: 20150305021524 Steps to reproduce: Yesterday morning 21/3 (Brisbane Aust time) firefox worked as normal then some time before noon I got messages saying it could not connect to the Internet. I checked other programs and they connected readily to the internet so my conclusion was perhaps a setting in Firefox. I couldn't find any that needed resetting so I restored to a point on 19/3 Brisbane Aust time and firefox came up. Actual results: Within a couple of hours firefox again identified as not connecting. After another restore and a search of Firefox issues I noticed that this update happened on 21/3. As a test I allowed the update to happen - from the firefox website - and upon completion it immediately resorted to the No Connection advice. I have since restored my computer again and changed to update option from auto to 'please advise'. I am currently waiting to see what happens and considering reinstalling explorer as a back up plan.
Hi Michael, I can not reproduce your issue. Can you please provide more steps to reproduce? Also, can you please test this on the latest Firefox release (43.0.1) or latest Nightly (46.0a1, https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and tell me if this still reproduces for you ? When doing this please use a new fresh Firefox profile, maybe also in safe mode (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems). Sometimes this kind of issues could appear when using custom settings, themes or some addons. Thanks, Cosmin.
Considering the fact that the reporter did not provided more information on my request, I will mark this issue as resolved - incomplete. If you can still reproduce this, feel free to reopen it and provide the requested information. Thanks, Cosmin.
