Contenxt: Using Thunderbird 31.5.0 with Lightning 3.3.3; Provider for Google Calendar 1.0.4 Situation: Calendar alert item pops up as soon as Thunderbird is launched Problem: I try to dismiss the item, but it won't be dismissed: just returns a new calendar item alert window Expected behavior: I can dismiss the calendar item, and the alert goes away. The original calendar item (a repeating, annual item) was loaded (within the past 2 weeks) into Lighting from a Google calendar. The google calendar item originated from a external calendar entry (an Exchange calendar event) to which the Google calendar account was invited. Prior to the event date, the item was deleted from the google calendar using the google calendar web client. But now that the event date has passed the item persists in Lightning's calendar view (it is gone from the google calendar web view) and, now that the event has passed, I am unable to 'dismiss' the popup alert item: just get a loop back to the notification. And this popup appears every time I start Thunderbird..... I have attached the error log taken as outlined in bug 769118 comment #1. May be related to Bug #804009 or bug 769118.

Can you try the xpi in attachment 8650423 [details] ? This should be fixed with the following bug:

Unfortunately I can no longer test this bug: the problematic calendar entry remedied itself a few months after I reported the bug. I hate bugs like that. If the problem recurs I will try the xpi patch.
