Oh, good catch. I'm in the process or removing the doppler effect computation in the spec though (and then in gecko of course), because it's tremendously broken for at least 3 or 4 reasons, so I'm marking this as WONFIX. At the spec level, this is worked on at https://github.com/WebAudio/web-audio-api/issues/455, and I just noticed that the WG agreed we could remove this, so I can proceed in bug 1148354.
