Eh, it only *shows* the account, it doesn't send it.
Severity: blocker → normal
Yesterday it blocked sending mail, today it didn't. How about tomorrow? This would make it intermittently blocking. And anyway - only turning up 2 days ago with no apparent cause - showing the account name although not sending it is still fishy, and hardly something to publish. Reeks a bit of a corrupt file (but which one?) and no interface option to correct.

The account name has been shown there for as long as I can remember.
So your suggestion is that in a draft message the 'From' field should subsequently contain [name] [mail adress] [account name] and that this has always been so ? This is most certainly not the case.

Your screenshot seems to be from the compose window, and in the compose window that's how it's always been. My suggestion is to try with "Help | Restart with addons disabled" if there's something else. The account name is not sent - only shown in the From address dropdown.
This is getting nowhere. I've solved it myself with a work around.
