STR:

1.) Open SMS, and begin composing a new message
2.) Click on the paperclip icon to add an attachment

Expected result:
In the activity picker, the contacts app shows up

Actual result:
Contacts app shows up as communications, which is very confusing to the user. What does it mean to attach a Communications? See attachment.

The reason for that is that task switcher does not have access to entry_points. I would be interested in porting name picking in task switcher to the new getLocalizedName API (see bug 1118946 where we did this for homescreen), but getting it to work asynchronously and use entry_points may require someone who already knows task switcher code.

This issue occurs on Flame 3.0 and Flame 2.2

The user will see "Communications" as an option when attaching a file to a SMS.

This issue does not occur on Flame 2.1 but this is not a regression.

"Communications" was not an available option when attaching a file to a SMS.

Oh, sorry, this is about activity picker, not task switcher. Probably the problem and the solution is the same for both, tho

Indeed it is! Lets pick it up there, let no-one say bugs are filed and forgotten!
Francisco, I'll pick up 787456, I think this is entry_point related rather than Contacts/Comms specifically.
