When using the Scratchpad, the font colors versus the background color do not have enough separation of contrast, making the window difficult to read. We should revisit the color palette used here.
This is just about the color of the comment, right? In general I tend to prefer color schemes that de-emphasize comments relative to the code, but I agree that this case is somewhat special, since we are using a comment as a how-to guide. However, considering that this comment is mainly useful the first time one uses Scratchpad, I don't think it's a really important issue to fix. I would certainly not want to always use a color scheme that emphasizes comments, just because of a first time use thing.
(In reply to Panos Astithas [:past] from comment #1) > This is just about the color of the comment, right? It's largely the comment, yes. I don't suggest emphasizing the comments. I just suggest maybe brightening them just a tiny bit more so they're not so hard to read. On my retina display, I have to squint to read them. :)

Scratchpad was removed in Bug 1519103 (Firefox 72). You can check the alternative in https://wiki.developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Deprecated_tools#Scratchpad .

The Scratchpad bug list was reviewed and I think this bug can be safely closed.
