1148826 - Hamburger Menu "Customize": cannot have more than 2 icons in a row with Disconnect add-on's icon

Steps to reproduce:

1.Open "Hamburger Menu" in top-right corner of window chrome (Australis).

2. Click "Customize".

3. Drag several icons from "Additional Tools and Features" to the Hamburger Menu.


Actual results:

After the 8th icon is added to the Menu, it slots itself *underneath* the 7th tile instead of slotting into the (blank) 9th tile.

Adding additional tiles repeats this behaviour, meaning you end up with several blank tiles in the Menu. It looks really odd.

I've experienced this behaviour on Linux, Mac and Windows since Australis was first introduced.

The attached screenshot demonstrates the issue, which is otherwise quite difficult to explain!


Expected results:

Icons are added sequentially to the Hamburger Menu and no blank tiles are present.

Did it stay so after update to Fx 37.0?
Does it stay so in Safe mode?  https://support.mozilla.org/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode  If not, please try disabling extensions in groups to see which ones are causing it.

Hi. Apologies for the delay. I figured out what is causing this, and it is indeed an add-on. It is the "Disconnect" add-on:

Once it is added to the Hamburger Menu, it messes up the ordering. I hope this helps you pin down the cause!

Thanks, reproduced with firefox-38.0b6.ru.linux64.  I don't know if it's supposed to be so, but the icon does not _look_ special, and the text does not look long.

Not a problem! Sorry again for the delay. I've had the email starred so I could get back to testing with all of my addons. Disconnect was the last one I tried - typical!

Indeed, the icon really doesn't look "special" in any way. I have far uglier icons in my Menu as well as ones with far longer text which don't cause the issue.

With WebExtensions being the only valid way of doing extensions in Firefox 57, I don't think this bug is still relevant.
