User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 Build ID: 20150320202338 Steps to reproduce: NOTE: This error occurs after enabling the html5 youtube player and following these steps http://www.ghacks.net/2014/07/25/enable-mse-h2-64-support-youtube-firefox-right-now/ 1. Go to youtube channel page like this https://www.youtube.com/user/AnHourWellSpent?feature=iv&src_vid=UGrHXgs3CgY&annotation_id=annotation_212324539 2. On promo/preview/main video click fullscreen 3. annoying url at the bottom that can't be exterminated unless you go to the actual video page Actual results: annoying url at the bottom that can't be exterminated unless you go to the actual video page Expected results: clean fullscreen window
I can reproduce problem on Google Chrome41 as well. So, I think this is the site problem.
A solution would be not to allow URLs to show in the corner when sites use html5 full screen like flash player does (well, it is covering it, but same idea). So even if a site makes a html5 full screen mistake like that, it won't affect Firefox.

So even if a site makes a html5 full screen mistake like that, it > won't affect Firefox. Yes that's a good idea but is it workable by the development team of firefox? On the other hand, I cannot reproduce this bug on Google Chrome 41 64 bit.
Sorry about my last comment, but in fact I CAN reproduce this on google chrome 41 64 bit. I didn't follow the same steps the last time.
Hi, is there someone who knows how to contact the Youtube development team? I tried to post a thread in the Google forum but I got no answers...
Well, that's why I think that Firefox should stop this bug themselves, you know Google's consumer service is next to non existent, Remember, you're not paying for it, you're not the customer, so of course customer service won't exist.
Not being a customer isn't nessesarily a bad thing, but having individual support increases the cost enormously, to they can't afford it (since the money gained per person is already extremely low, they make money on volume)
I've also seen this on OS X.

so what's new since last month?
Hi phly95, can you provide us another link to a youtube channel with a promo video? Since a few days I do not have the bug of the annoying link at the bottom.
Flags: needinfo?(phly95)

Closing the bug based on comment 12. Fell free to reopen the bug if the issue still reproduces on a current build.
