Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:37.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/37.0
Build ID: 20150326190726

Steps to reproduce:

 - visited HTTPS web site
 - opened Page Info, switched to tab Security

Actual results:

In Technical Details is says:
Connection Partially Encrypted
+ some explanation

Expected results:

It should list the encryption type used.

PS: The claim about partial encryption is wrong, as it is an URL of a GIF image. I doubt that can be partially encrypted.

Your example link is a web page, not an image. It's partially encrypted because it contains multiple images loaded insecurely.
Component: Untriaged → Page Info Window
Sorry, that comment is about a different URL, like https://some.site/a.gif (the page info dialog confirms it being a real GIF image, not HTML).

Maybe it is related to the fact, that it was part of a partially encrypted page:
 - load https://some.site/ -> the page info claims it is partially encrypted
 - right click an image on the page and select "View Image" -> https://some.site/a.gif is loaded, page info still claims it is partially encrypted

This might be two separate issues.

I can't reproduce that.

1. https://slo-tech.com/forum/t82704/699
2. Right-clicked the image directly above Forum » Strojna oprema… and chose View Image.
3. The address bar showed a padlock icon (full encryption). Page Info displays the encryption details.
4. Clicked the Back button on the navigation toolbar.
5. Right-clicked the image in the post dated 17. avg 2008, 23:32 and chose View Image.
6. The address bar showed a globe icon (no encryption). Page Info says the connection is not encrypted.

If you follow the above steps, can you reliably reproduce the issue you mentioned? If yes, how about when you start Firefox in a brand new profile?

The image you tried is served from a different hostname. Maybe that is a factor.
Partially encrypted (public) web pages are hard to find, so it might take a while before I can post an example.
Severity: normal → S3
