Details

We'd like to be able to track how often different kinds of add-on installation happens. Some points to record:

Did the site use InstallTrigger to initiate or did it just link to the file.
Did the add-on come from the local filesystem.
Was it a multi-package add-on.
Did InstallTrigger initiate multiple installs.
Probably also useful to measure when downloads are cancelled, failed (with reasons).
Some telemetry for installs was added in bug 1338713, and we have bug 1316074 to extend that further...
