As part of meta bug 1150496: Display the z-index. This is a useful piece of information which could also serve as a way to display/highlight the parent stacking context node.

Summary: Display the z-index in the Box-Model inspector tab → Display the stacking context next to the z-index in the Box Model Properties
That's already part of the Layout side panel. So, should this bug be closed? Sebastian
I see this is also part of firebug-gaps. Does this fulfill what Firebug previously have?
(In reply to Gabriel [:gl] (ΦωΦ) from comment #4) > I see this is also part of firebug-gaps. Does this fulfill what Firebug > previously have? Actually not. Firebug only showed the value of the z-index property below the box model but not the stacking context. Sebastian https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Layout_Side_Panel

We should keep this bug open I think. The goal is to display a link to the DOM element that is the stacking context of the currently selected node. This should be displayed next to the z-index property inside the "Layout" tab, just like we show positioning parents next to the position property.
