Using build 2001121303 on Windows 2000. If I select "Western" encoding for the fonts, I'm not able to select a font for "Fantasy". However, if I select "Unicode" encoding, I'm able to select a Fantasy font.
sairuh: Alexander commented about this it in bug 108939 using build 2001120504, Windows. I asked him to file separately. Can it be some partial regression or leftover from bug 101510?
-> ftang a look at the fonts pref pane.

In general, we only list font in the fantasy list if the font's LOGFONT.lfPitchAndFamily bit 4-7 are FF_DECORATIVE. For unicode, CJK, thai, arabic and hebrew font. We list every font since a lot of the user will only have one font for those languages. It is by design that we don't list ANY font for western. If you really have a fantasy font (for example, "Matisse ITC", "Tempus Sans ITC" "Westmister", then they will be listed there.
this is by desing, therefore, mark it invalid.
