If I select view | full screen mode or F11 by misstake its almost impossible to
get out of that mode. I hunted for an alternate menu selection or function key
or pref from edit prefs from a mail window to reset, but found none. I hunted
for a pref in prefs.js that might control but found none there either. I
finally removed my localstore.rdf and finally got navigation url bar, personal
tool bar and menus back.

is this really the way we want this to work?
Doesn't hitting F11 once more work?
(Also: Please include build ID)
Not for me on Linux it doesn't. My WindowManager captures F11 by default
(WindowMaker 0.70). there does need to be at least two ways to exit out of full
screen mode in case one way doesn't work.

I'm bumping this to major because it's a serious usability problem if you get
'stuck' in full screen. Many users won't know to delete localstore.rdf

F11 didn't work for me.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.6+) Gecko/20011206 Netscape6/6.1b1
"application" developer have needed a way to set home page and control
navigation from the page explicitly for such things as kiosks....

there ought to be two methods of control for full screen mode.

one where the user has an option of moving in and out of full screen mode,
and one where it becomes very, very, hard, if not impossible for the user to
escape to do more general browsing.

the *kiosk* mode bugs are bug 3341, bug 68470, bug 68473, bug 68474, bug 68501

There definately needs to be another way out of full screen mode... I realized
this myself when I went into it the first time.... If we are taking IE's full
screen mode as an example, we should have a button on the toolbar to go back to
full screen mode. Comsidering the toolbar still takes up as much space
horizontally even though it only has four buttons now, I think we can add a
fifth one and no one would mind. :-)

Ideally, in the long run, we should just have mini versions of *all* of the
necessary window components (like throbber, location bar, progress bar, etc.)
however that is still a dream....
Classic has a button to leave full-screen mode. For some reason the button is
not visible in Modern.

It may not be possible but I would also like to see a Full screen mode like
Internet Explorer's. The simple reason is because when I use the Little Mozilla
skin it gives me the same view full screen option as when I'm using the modern
skin but it is easier when using the Little Mozilla skin.

I am using the 2002 updated home version of Windows XP, build ID 2002010803
which is version 0.9.7+
I'm hosed for life too...I'm also not sure how I did it...but I tried
reinstalling and also tried F11...no go. Is there any other known workaround to
fix this problem? Can some pref be changed or other keystoke combinations be
used to get my toolbars back?
Nevermind...I tried removing the localstore.rdf file again...and everything's ok.
Minimal chrome mode has been removed. This should no longer be a problem.
