As discovered in bug 1134961 comment 44, the ellipsis is at the left of an LTR phone label when you're in Arabic. See the attached screenshot.

Repro'd on master[1] and 2.2[2].

This issue can be reproduced on latest Flame 2.2&3.0 and N5 2.2&3.0 build, the ellipsis is at the left of an LTR phone label in new contact view.

  Dylan had triaged it. Let's wait for solution.

@ All, I know that it is hard to handle the characters on the text field.
  But, I would like to tell you that function shortens the wording form the left side if you input LTR languages.
  It seems to be a unfriendly design.
  e.g. Birthday ---> ...thday.

This issue can be reproduced on latest AriesKK v2.5 build.
STR:
1.Set your phone language to Arabic.
2.Launch Contacts.
3.New a contact with a long LTR label for its phone number.
**The ellipsis is at the left of an LTR phone label.
