Via bug 1149022, I notice that on OSX, the "+-" button in the URL bar fades in and out on hover. You don't actually notice the button when you quickly move the mouse across the URL bar and the visual effect is nice :)

But on Windows there is no fading - it "flicks" on and off as you hover. This is quite a jarring effect and noticeable no matter how quickly the mouse moves over the URL bar. It should be like OSX.
The other buttons on the url bar (dropdown and refresh) do not fade on hover, so perhaps this should be consistent with those and just be static? Or make those other buttons have the same fade effect, but that's another set of tickets.
Weird, I see the fade. And it is only after an initial delay too. I can't get it to flicker when I mouse over quickly.

I'm on Windows 8.1 Firefox Nightly 2015-04-07.
OS: Windows Phone 7 → Windows 7
Sorry for the noise, but I do see the fade on Nightly (just not yet on Aurora)
