Until we iron this out a bit, this should only appear in nightly, as this can very easily confuse users, unless there's a strong argument otherwise.

This is off by default, and you have to go into the options cog to flip it on. Users who go out of their way to get it should be able to get it.

Alternatively, we could remove the option from the cog and require about:config editing + restart.
I guess I'd like to see how far this can get before 40.1 -- if we're shaping up to really polish the performance tool, having something like this still very raw could detract. Having it as a about:config pref sounds fine, but I'd rather not have it as an option in the gearbox for that release unless it's solid.
