Hi,

I was replying to an email and entering an extra Cc address when thunderbird deadlocked. I don't remember this happening before and I use thunderbird extensively, so this is probably a rare bug. In any case, I have installed debugging symbols and attached gdb to obtain a backtrace.

This is with Icedove 31.5.0 from Debian. I have checked the release notes for Thunderbird 31.6.0 and I see no mention of a possible fix. Hopefully the backtrace can shed some light.

Yes, I have one, precisely for the account where I received the mail that I was replying to.

Since your last comment, bug 1064230 has been fixed. Do you find the hang behavior to be gone in version 38?

I haven't upgraded yet, but I haven't been able to reproduce this hang yet. I get crashes from time to time, maybe those are fixed, but I need to get backtraces and open new bugs for those. So feel free to close this if you believe it is related. I will reopen if it happens again.
