steps to reproduce:
1. Load marketplace-dev with the new nav menu enabled
2. Click on the search icon
3. Notice the placeholder text in the search field
4. Click on the field to bring focus


expected behavior:
placeholder text goes away

actual behavior:
placeholder text doesn't go away after focus.

That's kind of the opposite STR as https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1152576

The field is focused upon clicking the Search icon. Entering text should allow the placeholder to disappear.
