Steps to reproduce:

I have nightly installed on 4 different computers. They all have the same setup - extensions and whatnot - and are all using the developer theme. However, two computers show the address bar correctly, and two show the address bar magnified and the back/forward buttons messed up.

I have tested your issue on latest Firefox release (43.0) and latest Nightly (46.0a1) and could not reproduce it. I have enabled the developer edition theme and all the mentioned issues are not visible.

Some things may have changed since Firefox 40.0 Can you please test this on the latest Firefox release (43.0) or latest Nightly (46.0a1, https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and tell me if this still reproduces for you ? Maybe when doing this please use a new fresh Firefox profile or even in safe mode (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems). Sometimes this kind of issues could appear when using custom settings, themes or some addons.
