Steps to reproduce:

1. Use Firefox
2. Use the attached file and upload to your server
3. Access the file. Example url http://www.mywebsite.com/twitter.php?getvar
4. Look at the server logs



Actual results:

The log output twice because of another background page request.


Expected results:

The log should output once. There should no be another page request in the background.
