Description: When the user is using the browser app, searching webpages, and is prompted for their SIM pin screen: rotating their phone from landscape to portrait will drop the keyboard and reveal the browser beneath 'between' the keyboard and SIM pin prompt. This can be observed if the user were to lose data access, prompted by activating and disabling airplane mode (for example). PreReq: * SIM pin enabled Repro Steps: 1) Update a Flame to 20150420010204 2) Open the browser app 3) Search for a webpage (ex: www.kotaku.com ) 4) While at above page, drag down notification tray and enable 'Airplane Mode' 5) Disable 'Airplane Mode' 6) Observe 'Enter SIM Pin' prompt/UI 7) Rotate phone to landscape 8) Rotate phone to portrait, observe UI. Actual: Browser is revealed between keyboard + SIM prompt when rotating phone Expected: Underlying pages are not revealed when rotating with prompt onscreen Environmental Variables: ----------------------------------- Device: Flame 3.0 Build ID: 20150420010204 Gaia: cb41d8421da5dc4f16ea566ea2917a9b7f828154 Gecko: 50b95032152c Gonk: b83fc73de7b64594cd74b33e498bf08332b5d87b Version: 40.0a1 (3.0) Firmware Version: v18D-1 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:40.0) Gecko/40.0 Firefox/40.0 Device: Flame 2.2 BuildID: 20150420002502 Gaia: c15a2b6d3a783813959c2b3bffd2a131f4270b9e Gecko: cc02ee38b252 Gonk: ebad7da532429a6f5efadc00bf6ad8a41288a429 Version: 37.0 (2.2) Firmware Version: v18D-1 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:37.0) Gecko/37.0 Firefox/37.0 ----------------------------------- Issue has similar results on 2.1 and 2.0 for flame devices: Results: When phone is rotated in browser during SIM screen, keyboard and SIM prompt split to reveal a black screen, as opposed to present browser. Alberto, is this a dupe?

I don't think is a dupe. I believe that the one you are referring to, was about SHB. I'll take a look.

I'm still unable to repro. Asking qawanted to see if they can with latest gecko/gaia.
Keywords: qawanted
I wasn't able to reproduce this on first attempt, and I figured out that it's because the webpage beneath the SIM pin screen was LMK'ed. As long as the webpage beneath is not killed due to low memory, the bug will reproduce. I reproduced this on 2nd attempt over google.com Device: Flame 3.0 Master BuildID: 20150421010201 Gaia: a8e4f95dce9db727dda5d408b038f97fb4296557 Gecko: 7b823253d9f2 Gonk: b83fc73de7b64594cd74b33e498bf08332b5d87b Version: 40.0a1 (3.0 Master) Firmware Version: v18D-1 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:40.0) Gecko/40.0 Firefox/40.0

I can see the webpage for a second, but the dialog doesn't stay cut off. When you said that you can repro, you mean that the dialog eventually stays with wrong size (as in the video), right? Just to confirm
Flags: needinfo?(pcheng)
No, when I said I was able to repro I meant I was able to repro what was described as "actual" bug behavior on comment 0, which is "Browser is revealed between keyboard + SIM prompt when rotating phone". I didn't realize you were looking for that specific breakage.

Yeah, I know is a little bit confusing, that's why I wanted to confirm. Thanks for the clarification. Ok, let's ask the reporter. Oliver, what's the reported bug here? (see comment 6 and comment 7). I think depending on the answer, this is a blocker or a polish bug. Thanks!

Honestly, I was pretty surprised to see the dialog linger. I would argue the issue is simply polish, as the dialog closes up pretty quick to hide the browser.

Thanks for the info!
