Ideally we should be able to create new notifications using WebAPI's and let Gaia system deal with handling them. We need to investigate if we can both: indicate new badges notification and spin up the toaster from an external app.

Just want a confirmation that using native Gaia notification is sufficient to display notification about unlocked achievements.

Yes, I believe a notification including the icon, title of the badge and a second line of description will work. When you tap on the notification, I'm assuming it will go to the badges list?
