Steps to reproduce:

Nightly 40.0a1 (2015-04-21)
MacBook Air 11"
OSX 10.10.3

STR:
1. Show always OSX Dock
2. Start Nightly
3. Open New Tab Page
4. Maximize the window from the Menubar to the Dock


Actual results:

Only 4 thumbnails are to see. 


Expected results:

There should be 8 thumbnails like in Firefox Stable 37.0.2.

This is a regression!

@Ed Lee: Not sure, if it is the same bug where you merged this one into. My issue happens on NON-HighDPI screens. My Issue happens on smaller NON-HighDPI screens like MacBook Air 11".
