Reproducible on: Nightly 40.0a1 (2015-04-22), Aurora 39.0a2 (2015-04-22), Beta 38.0b6-build1 (20150420134330) Affected platforms: Windows 7 (x64), Ubuntu 14.04 (x64), Mac OS X 10.9.5 Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Firefox. 2. From the Search Bar, hover over the magnifying glass button. 3. Now hover over the arrow (submit) button. 4. Repeat this step for the (empty) input field. Expected result: 2. The tooltip associated to the magnifying glass button states "Search Settings" or "Search Suggestions" or "Show Suggestions". 3. The submission button's tooltip states "Search using <default search engine>", just like the input field. 4. The input field's tooltip states "Search using <default search engine>". Actual result: Both the magnifying glass and the submit button tooltips simply state "Search", but they should have clearer tooltips, describing their purpose.
Stephen, can you (find someone to) decide what the exact wording of these various tooltips should be?
