Steps to reproduce:
1. Install 38 Beta 8 build: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mobile/candidates/38.0b8-candidates/build1/

Expected results:
- Beta build should have Beta branding even if it's on the Release channel.

Actual results:
- 38 Beta 8 has the Release branding.

Jordan, Rail, do you have an idea why we have this? Is it something set up by release runner? (as a reminder, we kick off the beta 8 build using m-r instead of m-b).

I don't think we want to publish this. I can retrigger a new build once we know what went wrong.

Sounds like we need to revert http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-release/rev/d27c9211ebb3 and land it again before we build RC. That changeset is generated automatically when we run the merge scripts.
