Adding some sliders or some other visual widgetry to control pan & position in the timeline would help with two things: 1. indicate the flamechart is zoomable at all, the user may have seen similar controls in similar tools 2. allow for more precise control over zoom levels. The controls we implement should work in two ways: - the user should be able to hold down the right mouse button and adjust the parameter by moving the mouse - the user should be able to set focus on the control with the mouse or tab focus, and manipulate the units using arrow keys.
