In bug 1136912 we are creating a /whatsnew page for Developer Edition. You can find a WIP comp for what that page will look like attached to this bug. We have a recent request from PMM to add a link under the Sync CTA block, but above the footer. PMM would like to target 38.0.5 for this (Dev Edition 40) June 2nd. Specifications - en-US only is fine - an icon with a string - points to a property on Hacks, etc.

Arcadio, do you have the string? Do you have where it will point to?

The link for the hacks post will be: https://hacks.mozilla.org/?p=28808 A draft version of the string: " When we released Firefox Developer Edition last November we asked for your feedback, and we got tons of great ideas submitted via [Uservoice](1) and [Bugzilla](2), many of which have been addressed. [Click here](3) to read more about all the fixes and enhancements the team has delivered in Developer Edition 40. " Here is my suggested graphic - maybe you want something ore polished. :) - http://www.quickmeme.com/p/3w2xxe 1. http://mzl.la/devtools 2. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Firefox&component=Developer Tools 3. https://hacks.mozilla.org/?p=28808 I suspect we will have to meet and pick over the final verbiage - treat this initial stab as more of a guideline really.
Is it a priority to show the User Voice and Bugzilla links here in /whatsnew? Wondering if we can deliver those in the Hacks post? I'm suggesting the following: When we released Firefox Developer Edition we committed our selves to being responsive to the developer community. So we asked for your feedback, and we received tons of great ideas, many of which have been implemented. Read more about how your feedback helps us make a better browser for developers [Click here](3). 3. https://hacks.mozilla.org/?p=28808 Love the graphic. I don't think that's a discussion ; )

A little slimmer, less commas: "When we released Firefox Developer Edition we asked for your feedback. We received tons of great ideas, many of which have been implemented just in the last month. Read more about how your feedback helps us make a better browser for developers [Click here](3)."

Hi Matej, The Dev Edition /whatsnew page is going to be the /firstrun page except just the top half. E.g. this https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/38.0a2/tour/ except remove everything from Feature and Tools and below. We don't need design on that portion. This bug is tracking a late request to add a 'what was fixed' (en-US only) line+link to the bottom of this new page. I believe the target is June 2 for this if possible. The copy is discussed in comment 4 and comment 5. What are your thoughts on working out a design for this in the next week/week and a half? Arcadio/Jeff, is there any design direction here?

Ah. So Success Baby was a serious suggestion?
Good with the design direction. Keep in mind that we'd need to see to know the following: - /whatsnew: is there a Sync conditional when user not signed in to Sync? - design impact of Feedback line when paired with Sync CTA in text on /whatsnew I could ONLY wish we could do Success Baby.

Noted that it would be nice to use some kind of feedback glyph (e.g. megaphone) along with this line of copy.

One small change on the link and one comma added back in (sorry): When we released Firefox Developer Edition, we asked for your feedback. We received tons of great ideas, many of which have been implemented just in the last month. <a>Read more</a> about how your feedback helps us make a better browser for developers."

We need all assets for this blurb by May 22nd. Confirming that it will appear in en-US only for 38.0.5.
