User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 Build ID: 20150429135941 Steps to reproduce: I tested this on windows, and it lags. On mac it does not lag. Open browser console. Try to type Ci.nsIFile After you type the `.` it will lag like crazy, then after unlag, type in n then it will lag again. It will lag till you get the F, after this the autocomplete results are few so it doesnt lag. Here is a screencast on youtube showing the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSsSu_OBQcw Expected results: Should not lag like on mac

I'm pretty sure I tried the web console on Windows in the past couple of years and I didn't see this, so it's unlikely that bug 790016 is at fault here. That said, I'm now testing Windows in a VM, which may affect this.

How fast is that? The other day Gijs was reporting the same slowness, but on a Surface which is rather underpowered.

Hello noitidart. I know it's been a long time, but could you tell us if you're still experiencing this slowness ? The console went was refactored quite a bit and things might have changed here.
