(Linux) SeaMonkey Not remembering HTML5 setting

Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.33
Build ID: 20150215202114
Steps to reproduce:
I don't have Adobe Flash installed on my Linux SeaMonkey, so when I try to look at many video's on YouTube, I get a screen telling me I need to either install Adobe Flash or use a HTML5 enabled Browser
Actual results:
1. Select YouTube video
2. Get told I need either Adobe Flash or an HTML5 enabled Browser
3. Go to https://www.youtube.com/html5 and select to use HTML5 whenever possible
4. Either Go back to 1 and fail again or Reboot and go back to 1 and fail again
Expected results:
When I select to use HTML5, SeaMonkey should be able to display any video that is viewable in that format. As I set and set and set to use HTML5, SM just seems to forget that setting when re-booted.

I see the same behavior using SeaMonkey 2.33.1 on Kubuntu 14.10.

What are your Cookie settings? Edit -> Preferences -> Privacy and Security -> Cookies
Cookie retention policy: Accept Cookies Normally/Accept for current session only/etc
Also check the cookie manager, you might have cookies from Youtube blocked.
Phil, If you had asked me last week, I would have replied that they were "Allow cookies for the originating website" and "current session only" but now, after trying to work through this problem in the m.s.seamonkey group, they are now "Allow all cookies" and "Accept cookies normally"
Sorry, Phil, I missed your last line about checking the cookie manager. There I've got three cookies set for youtube.com, each of which expires at end of session.
Do I need to set this to permanent or something?? If so, how??
At the bottom of the Cookies screen, next to the "Remove" button, I do have the "When removing, block the listed website from setting future cookies" ticked, but, as I obviously not removed the cookies, this doesn't apply, does it??

This _should_ work.

I have three but only one expires at the end of the session.

I don't think so.

This shouldn't apply but you may have done it sometime ago and forgotten. Check the "Permissions" tab for youtube to see if you've blocked something.
Phillip, I just went back to the Data Manager and entered youtube.com in the Domain Field.
It showed no cookies, so on the "Permissions" tab, I changed from "Allow for session" to just plain "Allow".
I then went to youtube. com, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_m6qNgEfCs, and got the error message about needing either Adobe Flash or HTML5
I then checked the Data Manager and now the "Permissions" tab still shows "Allow" and, on the "Cookies" tab, I've got one cookie that is session only and two that expire in the future (one 15 jan 2016 and one 15 May 2017).
I'll re-boot SeaMonkey (and the Computer, too, maybe) to see if that helps. BBL
Phillip, I re-booted the computer, checked Data Manager and it showed the two long term cookies and the "Permission" tab showed "Allowed".
I then went to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_m6qNgEfCs and got the error message so clicked on the https://www.youtube.com/html5 link and set it to use HTML5 whenever possible.
I then re-booted the computer, started SeaMonkey, opened the Data Manager which showed I'm back to three Cookies, one of which is session only and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_m6qNgEfCs still wants me to use either Flash or HTML5.
So, it was looking good, but not now. ..... Any further suggestions??
