Details

Linux-only, Simon confirms that Mac is Ok.

Bring up editor, click cursor somewhere to start
typing some text, type 'a'. Everything gets
selected, deleted, then an 'a' appears.
Severity: normal → blocker
Priority: P3 → P1
This is gonna block the unix editor, marking so.
This makes it sound like keybindings actually are working now. What happens if
you type a '1' (one)? Do you see a JavaScript error in addition to getting a
'1'?
Yes, I see this too on my Linux build from this morning.

If I type a '1', I do get a JS error: Navigator is not defined.

Sounds like we're perhaps not filtering the modifier keys properly?
Target Milestone: M9
This obviously needs to be M9.
This problem happens on Win32 also.

Saari, brade and I found a temporary fix, which I have checked in. (XUL
keybindings still don't work, but at least typing works again.) Kathy is filing
another bug on the remaining issues.
