It didn't do this for me (build 2001121906 in Win98).
It did give me a dialog box about having unsecure content within a secure page,
which was odd given that the page URL wasn't "https" in the first place.

are you using a proxy server?
Answering Questions and comments, I am an experienced Internet user but
programming knowledge is limited
What is psm?
I am not using a proxy server
I have no trouble with passwords on any other site but Yahoo just locks up, this
happens even if I delete the Password Manager and enter the password Manually.
(The Password is correct b 4 anybody asks the obvious question)
The only way I can check that site is to use IE which works perfectly.

When you go to:
Edit > Preferences > Privacy and Security
is there an "SSL" panel in under that category?

Linux build 2001121908
I encountered the same problem in the last
one or two days with this and older builds.
I just checked and i seems to work now.
Maybe Yahoo had a problem with Mozilla and
just fixed it?

WFM 2001122010-trunk Win32. Reporter, what build are you using? Please confirm
that you are using a recent build. Also, make sure you are not using an old
profile (that is, try using a fresh profile).
Also, I noticed some problems with Yahoo!'s servers yesterday. After logging in,
some frames would load, some would not, and no images were loading. Could this
be related? It was definitely a server issue, as IE was doing the same.
I update builds every week, downloaded build 200112109 yesterday same problem.
I never keep pages in Cache and history is set to zero, I have all options set
to default level. See bug 116193 for related problem.
