Details

I pick an Address Book to Export, and choose an existing filename, and the Windows-kind file-chooser warns me of that, but its extension is not Thunderbird s approved extension for that format (I choose "ENT.CSV" with "Tab delimited..."). The old file ("ENT.CSV") is indeed deleted, but the new file has an extension beyond that shown through the file-chooser ("ENT.CSV.txt").

I exported an address book but not to an existing file, had to suggest a new one. No extension shown in the filename box, use the comma-seperated format and this all worked. The resulting file had the .csv ext and the content
