Is e10s enabled?

The problem persist on 41 & 42
Do you know if I can reproduce the issue with FF on my desktop without flashing QR code with smartphone? Reduced STR are always well-liked. :D

Well, I'm not a user of Whatsapp and its service, so I was just asking reduced STR to try to repro the bug on desktop. It could be a regression in Firefox or a Tech Evang bug.
Due to whatsapp web needs the phone for relaying message, I guess it is not possible by not logging in with the phone.
Could you try to find a regression range with mozregression (see http://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/ for details)?
Given the prevalent usage of watsapp and watsapp web, we should consider fixing this bug soon. Adding a tracking flag for FF40 and FF41.
Currently using FF 40.0b2 x64 and found two additional issues: (1) emoji panel won't open (2) emoji and message checkmarks are disappeared Another missing feature is a dropdown menu to choose the imaging capture device to send photos, very useful for anyone having a PC equipped with both a video capture card and a webcam, since there is no way to set a "default capture device" in Windows. Because of this, when I try to take a photo shoot within Whatsapp Web, my video capture card is always initialized instead of my webcam and there's no way to change this behavior.
Sorry I'll follow this original bug. TYVM for the patience. (noob here).
Summary: Fail to send photo via Whatsapp Web → Many broken features on Whatsapp Web (UI, photo media attachment)
Still don't know what the problem is, but MikeT agreed on IRC to own this for diagnosis and help find the next right owner.

So here's the STR I used to try to reproduce: (requires Whatsapp app/account installed on phone) 1) Navigate to https://web.whatsapp.com/ 2) From Whatsapp, select Chats 3) Open App menu > WhatsAppWeb 4) Scan QR code on https://web.whatsapp.com/ to login. 5) Start a conversation with a contact 6) Click Attach paperclip icon to share a photo, send Emoji, etc. Kohei and I were able to send photos and emojis successfully in Beta (40), DevEdition and Nightly, on OSX. Fubuki, would you mind re-testing? It's possible this was a temporary bug. Also, are you on Windows by chance?
LanX, would you also mind re-testing please? If you do run into any problems, could you open the console (Tools > WebDeveloper > WebConsole) and paste any errors that you do see?

Oops, forgot to set ni? for Fubuki. Fubuki, please see Comment #15.

Thanks for checking. Fingers crossed this was a temporary bug.
Shudragonhammer, can you re-test as well, before we close this bug?
Sure I'll do... wow tyvm... I really mean it. Wonderful guys! You Zilla-rock!
Flags: needinfo?(shudragonhammer)
Heh, OK. I'll take that as a sign that Whatsapp is also working for you. :) Let's go ahead and close.
