e.g. http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail41.html, after 30-45 seconds there can be pause/artifact that signify sound out became more 1 sec off from main timeline and also actors taking is disconnected from mouth.

Yes, it's a wellknown regression after 'nat'-branch refactoring -- we lost synchronization between audio and frame rate at that point.
