Details
Results from Nightly, 2013 MBAir 11": 1. 141 without acceleration 2. 320 with acceleration To repro: 1. toggle gfx.canvas.azure.accelerated 2. run this http://testno.de/playground/baseline/index.html We're particularly interested in providing good game / canvas performance in Dev Edition as a developer focused offering, I'd like to enable this pref by default in the DE channel unless there is a reason we shouldn't.

This is probably going to help perf tools a lot.

Chrome canary is 383 by comparison, so that's much better.

+Milan who also provided benchmark results using skiaGL.

Yes, that's the goal. On OS X, we don't have the reference tests passing yet, so we can't change the default. Now, is this meant to track just OS X? If it is, then it's a duplicate of bug 1150944. If it's meant to track other OSs as well, as a meta bug, then it would depend on bug 1150944. If it's just meant to track the Dev Edition, then I guess it also depend on bug 1150944 which would first do it on nightly.
