I'm not clear if this is actionable as such, but I wanted to look at the crash reports from a different point of view.  Maybe looking at them by the error type, for example D2DERR_RECREATE_TARGET (see also bug 1135073), would be useful?

Bas, is this useful/actionable at all?  A lot of our top hits contain this error, but I suppose that is really just indicative of a TDR?  Feel free to reject if it isn't useful to look at the data this way.

Nah, not really, it's just a transient error that we expect to be getting before we -should- recover. But it's not completely uninteresting. It's a way to confirm a TDR occurred at least.
