After this site finishes loading (which takes a while) and starts animating smoothly www.nytimes.com/2014/12/12/upshot/the-rise-of-men-who-dont-work-and-what-they-do-instead.html the SVG loop-animated element in the middle starts flashing quite a bit. This reproduces with e10s turned off but goes away when I disable the 3 vsync prefs in about:config and restart the browser. Possibly related is bug 1163603 which I think may have started around the same time as this, but it could be a coincidence.

Refining this a bit: the flickeriness reproduces when gfx.vsync.compositor=true and gfx.vsync.refreshdriver=false (and not the reverse). Attaching about:support text.

Just tested again and no flashing, so this seems to have been fixed.
