Details

(Whiteboard: [multi-party])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:37.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/37.0
Build ID: 2015041600

Steps to reproduce:

Currently only two people are allowed in one conversation. Group chats (conferencing) should be supported too.

To reproduce:
1. Start Firefox Hello
2. Send the link to two other people
3. Have both open the link (alternatively, open the links yourself in two tabs in another browser)

Actual results:

The second person receives an error "There are already two people in this conversation."

Expected results:

The second person should get connected to both the host and the first person.
This is something we're thinking about for the future. No ETA yet. Currently we're working on improving the two-person experience.

We won't be doing this in the short-term roadmap, because of our peer-to-peer WebRTC it's not easy to allow multiple people into the conversation. We do plan to revisit this in the medium-term in Hello, but we'll be doing that through the product process (so we won't be able to move forward on this bug specifically).

Well, I created the bug report specifically so I would be notified of the progress. What's the recommended way to keep tabs on that in this case, then? I'm not really sure what you mean by "product process"...
