From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011221 BuildID: 2001122106 One of my email folders contains messages with Japanese (ISO-2022) text in the subject line. I can list this folder fine with Mozilla 0.9.6. When I try to list it with Mozilla 0.9.7 the machine hangs. When I revert back to Mozilla 0.9.6 I can list it fine again. Mozilla 0.9.7 can list the other folders fine, it's only the one with Japanese text in the subject lines which crashes it (i.e. it's not a general problem with my email folders). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Mozilla 0.9.7 Mail & Newsgroups. 2.List a folder containing messages with Japanese text in the subject line. Actual Results: The machine hangs before any messages in the folder are listed. Expected Results: It should have allowed me to list the folder containing messages with Japanese text in the subject line (as Mozilla 0.9.6 does).

I don't see this problem on 01/03 trunk build. Reporter, could you try it with the latest build? Is your system an English system? Thanks.

Thanks for the info. CC'ed to ruixu@netscape.com, since it also crashes when openning a Ja bookmark. Reported, is your mail folder containing Ja mails an IMAP mail folder or POP mail folder? Thanks.
Reporter, could you attach a testing folder that contains the Ja mail to this bug report? Thanks.
I don't see the problem with the testing mail folder on my system.
