Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0
Build ID: 20150513174244

Steps to reproduce:

The new properties tab is nice and works good, but if you want to set a new homepage it's not as intuitive to choose "current page" as before, when the properties were a popup window. Since now the current page actually is the properties page, if you interpret it directly, or?
I could be wrong, but it's not really obvious which page will be chosen if you have multiple tabs open. I suspect the one you were on, when you entered into the properties menu, but that's not really the current page.
Maybe dupe of bug 1043586
Ok, it might be fine. I just found it a bit confusing, since it's not as clear as before, in my opinion. What happens, when you select several pages as start page?

Yes, perhaps the “Use Current Page” button label could be better worded, since about:preferences is the current tab in this case.

Those pages get loaded at startup, each in a new tab. The order of the tabs is determined by the order of the pages listed in the “Home Page:” box. So the first page listed ends up the selected tab when starting Firefox.

As for the aforementioned bug 1043586, if you switch preference categories (e.g. click Content, then General again) before clicking Use Current Pages, then about:preferences#general ends up in your homepage list.
@Tim,
Whom we could turn to to review "Use Current Pages" is good or not ?
It seems "Use Current Pages" has been used for a long time. I am not sure maybe users already get used to it and know what it is for.
Thanks

I think the conclusion of our meeting was that UX will definite improves this as part of in-content preferences re-design. Let's track that under the re-design work once a bug is filed to represent that.
