User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 Build ID: 20150513174244 Steps to reproduce: This all worked OK in earlier versions - hte bug has appeared since updating ot 38.0.1 Actual results: When I click through from some sites (eg Facebook) to follow a link to anotherl page, all the navigation bars and info disappear in the new page - the menu bars, the back/forward arrow, the scroll bar at the side. I still have the Mozilla symbol at the top plus the bar with the URL, but only those, and have to use the up/down keyboard arrows to scroll down the page (its happened on this page for instance). To get the missing items back, I have to go back to an old page which had those items present, and open a new window, copy and paste the new URL in, and then the new window works OK, even though the old one does not. Expected results: I should have my normal window with normal navigation controls
I renamed the old Firefox folder and downloaded a fresh copy and reinstalled 38.0.1 (though it read my old preferences) and the same thing happened. So it wasnt just a dicky download.
Thanks for the report. Is it still happening with Firefox 39? Please check to see if it happens in Safe Mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
