Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/43.0.2357.65 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

I added myself to the global watcher list but don't want to be notified for every single change.

Actual results:

I am notified on every single change.

Expected results:

This is an enhancement request to have an email preferences section (similar to what you have for cc, reporter, assignee) for the global watcher. It should be able to be individualized if you have more than one global watcher. Just like normal email preferences do. It would be very useful to have the option to only see certain things (like bugs that go into a resolved state).
Hmm, but how is this related to the globalwatcher setting? global does mean global and everything. :)
Isn't this more a combination of userprefs.cgi?tab=email and the ComponentWatching (custom bmo) extension?

I can understand your argument there. I guess I was thinking that you still are watching all bugs but you are only wanting to get notified for certain items. The use case is that we want the ability to see all bug that go into a resolved state or new state. Since you have global watchers available it seemed like the appropriate place.

If it is implemented, I am not picky on how it is implemented. I am more focused on the use case. If the ComponentWatching has this capability to set the user preferences then that may work as well. I gather by your comment that the ComponentWatching extension is yet tied into the user preferences correct?
