I just installed Mozilla 0.9.6 on my Linux system (glibc2.2.1, kernel 2.4.9). Previously I was using Mozilla 0.9.4. I completely wiped 0.9.4 before doing the install. After the install, I placed the following symbolic links to my Netscape plugins in /usr/local/mozilla/plugins (as I have done each time I have installed Mozilla): ShockwaveFlash.class libflashplayer.so nppdf.so plugger.so plugger.so is a link to plugger 3.2. With Mozilla 0.9.6, this causes about:plugins to fail. It returns only the following output: ------------------- Plugger 3.2 File name: /opt/netscape/communicator/plugins/plugger.so ------------------- No other plugins are shown, nor are the mime types for plugger shown. I have not seen this behaviour before with 0.9.4. Interestingly enough, all the plugins seem to work, including plugger! If I remove the symbolic link to plugger, about:plugins works fine and shows all the other plugins.
