Steps to reproduce:

ZTE Open C.
OS version: 2.2.0.0-prelease
Build number: eng..20140505.045022
Platform version: 37.0
Build identifier: 20150315125816

Updated from v2.1 to v2.2 (downloaded upgrade from http://builds.firefoxos.mozfr.org/doc/en/devices/zte-open-c-eu and installed from microSD card) and added a smart collection to my home screen, then attempted to access the smart collection. Smart collection unable to see my internet connection.


Actual results:

All smart collections return the following message: "Connect to the internet to get apps for [smart collection name]".

This happens even though I have a working 3.5G internet connection (data connection is on) and can browse the web, marketplace, download apps, etc.

Same message appears when I am connected to WiFi so is not limited to my device's data connection.


Expected results:

Smart collections should access the internet and display icons for relevant web apps.

Should be a dupe of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1144557
Problem present on Flame too, not specific to Open C Community builds.

Original bug I linked being solved, is this one still happening after what was explained on this bug? Or can the bug be closed?
